Essential and revelatory unreleased Serge Modular and TMS Synth experiments by Swiss electronics whiz Ernst Thoma, co-founder of legendary avant-Pop group UnknownmiX. These prescient and deft Modular workouts are uncannily prescient, reminiscent of 90s minimal rhythm experiments from Detroit, standing head and shoulders above most of todays homogenous Modular glut. The only contemporaneous touching point I can think of is Charles Cohen’s work, but admittedly this is a much less ethically weighted listen. Highest recommendation.
